Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window... Overcast and 21 degrees. Yeah for 21 degrees!
I am thinking...about making chicken wings for the Super Bowl.
I am thankful ...that Greg has a job.
From the kitchen...I'll be making some birthday cupcakes in preparation for this weekend.
I am wearing...jeans (with pop spilled down the leg), a grey long-sleeved t-shirt and a grey cardigan.
I am creating...a grocery list. THE grocery list.
I am going...maybe to Aldi tonight. Gotta check that place out!
I am reading...Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher...for the second time. Love her!
I am hoping...my children will take good naps. They were up early today.
I am hearing...the buzz of snowmobiles from the lake a block from my house.
Around the house...I am learning to pick up as I go. It makes life so much better!
One of my favorite things...my grey cardigan.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . . THE grocery shopping trip (for the whole month), which I will execute in two trips to Target tomorrow.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
*sigh*

Carey,
When I heard the news about Target, I wanted to call and ask if you guys were safe from that. I'm thankful that you are. So, um, your grey cardigan, huh? What about the green turtleneck? :) Yes, go check out Aldi! That's where I do most if not all of my grocery shopping!
Have a great rest of your day. The wedding picture was beautiful!

I remember that day. You both looks so fabulous on your wedding day. Thank God that it was a warm December. I remember not having to wear a coat.

I remember that being a warm winter too - the year we had Grant. I didn't think of it till I looked at the picture and realized there was no snow and you don't look like you are about to turn blue. I will not comment about the green turtleneck since I've been beaten to it. :)
