4th of July: Part One

We had a lot of fun with my family over the 4th of July weekend. The whole family was there, which was fun for the kids especially--we only spoke with Sophie to feed her and clean her. There was a lot of eating and a lot of water fun.

Dad outdid himself this time with some great ribs and amazing smoked tenderloin, though Mom says all he did was grill it really...she marinated it and did everything else.

Owen loved Courtney's water table. We're still working on tracking one down for his birthday.

We headed downtown to watch a practice run of the water ski show. I'm sure the real thing was even more impressive.
Then we spent a little time at a street dance where we got to listen to some tunes played by a guy we think I went to highschool with. Greg thought it wasn't possible because the guy looked about 50 years old. Maybe we really look that old too and just don't know it!!
Owen just watched the action from the sidelines.

We brought along our little pool, and the girls had a great time cooling off in it. Aubrey and Jozie loved it a little more than Sophie did. She wimped out a lot when Jozie (intentionally and otherwise) splashed her--she'd jump out of the pool. They still seemed to have a good time, though.
